Answer HR and policy questions privately

The handbook, without the interruption

People ask HR the same questions because reading a forty-page handbook to find one number is not reasonable. An assistant over the same documents answers it, without anyone having to ask a person about their own sick leave.

The situation before

The handbook, the expense policy and the benefits summary all exist. They are three PDFs on an intranet, so the questions come to a person instead, one at a time, and often about something the asker would rather not discuss.

What to feed it
  • The employee handbook
  • Expense and travel policy
  • Benefits and leave summaries
  • Onboarding material

What it does

Internal by default

Allowed domains and origin-bound tokens keep the assistant on the pages you name. A widget for an intranet is not reachable from anywhere else.

Private to ask

Someone checking their parental leave entitlement gets the answer without opening a conversation about it.

One source of truth

When the policy changes, the document changes, and the answers change with it. There is no second copy in someone's memory.

Questions people ask

Is our content used to train models?

No. Documents are embedded so they can be retrieved, and for nothing else.

Can we keep it off the public internet?

Yes. The widget only runs on the domains you allow, and its token is bound to that origin.

What about questions it should not answer?

The assistant answers from the knowledge base you give it. Keep the documents it should not quote out of that knowledge base.
