Terms of Service

What the service does, what it costs, what you are responsible for, and what we are. Short sentences on purpose.

Last updated 9 September 2026

The agreement

These terms are between you and Mauro Carrera (CUIT 20-35043486-1), the founder of and sole trader behind WelcomeAI. Creating an account means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming that you may bind it.

Our Privacy Policy is part of this agreement and describes how data is handled. So is our Refund Policy, which covers what happens to money once it has been paid.

What the service does

WelcomeAI indexes documents and web pages you provide, and uses them to answer questions — in a chat widget on your site, on a hosted page, or through our API. It can also capture leads and send them to your CRM.

We add and change features. If we remove something you depend on, we will give notice inside the product before it goes.

Your account

  • You are responsible for what happens under your account, including what the people you invite do.
  • Keep your password to yourself and tell us if you think it has been used by someone else.
  • One person, one account. Do not share a login.
  • You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.

Plans, trials and billing

  • Plans and their limits are listed on the pricing page, and those are the numbers the product enforces.
  • New workspaces get a 14-day trial of Pro without a card. When it ends the workspace goes read only — your content stays exactly where it is, and choosing a plan brings it back.
  • Subscriptions are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew until cancelled. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for.
  • Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy as merchant of record. Their terms cover the transaction, and any tax is handled by them.
  • Moving to a smaller plan takes effect at the end of the current period, so you keep what you paid for.
  • Payments are not refunded. Cancelling stops the next charge and takes effect at the end of the period you have paid for; the unused part of that period is not returned, because the model tokens, embeddings and storage behind it are spent as they are used. The Refund Policy gives the reasons, the exceptions we do pay out, and your statutory rights, and it is part of these terms. The 14-day trial above exists so nothing has to be bought to be evaluated.
  • Reaching a limit stops the metered action — answers stop rather than silently billing you for an overage you did not agree to. We warn you at 80% and again at 100%.

Your content

Your content stays yours. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to store it, split it into passages, embed it, retrieve it to answer a question, and show it back to you.

We do not train models on it, and our providers are not permitted to either.

You confirm you have the right to use the content you add, including anything you crawl or import from a connected platform.

What an assistant can and cannot promise

Answers are generated by a language model reading passages retrieved from your content. That is a good way to answer a question and it is not a guarantee of correctness.

  • An answer can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date, even when it cites a source. Check anything that matters.
  • The service is not a substitute for legal, medical, financial or other professional advice, and must not be presented as one.
  • You are responsible for what your assistant tells your visitors, and for the content you gave it to work from.
  • Answer quality depends on your content and your retrieval settings. We give you the controls and the scores to tune them.

Acceptable use

Do not use WelcomeAI to:

  • Break the law, or help anyone else to.
  • Upload content you have no right to use, or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Handle payment card numbers, government identifiers, or health records. The service is not built for them.
  • Impersonate a person or organisation, or present the assistant as a human when asked directly.
  • Send malware, attack the service, or work around its limits, rate limits or billing.
  • Resell access, or use the service to build a competing product.
  • Scrape or index a site you do not control or have permission to crawl.

We may suspend a workspace that is doing one of these things. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first.

Availability and support

We work to keep the service up and we do not promise a specific uptime figure. There is no service level agreement attached to these terms; if you need one, talk to us.

Maintenance that we expect to be disruptive is announced in advance. Support is by email at support@welcomeai.dev.

Ending it

You can cancel or delete a workspace whenever you like, from the app.

We may end the agreement if you break these terms, do not pay, or use the service in a way that endangers it or other customers. If we end it without cause, we refund the unused part of what you paid -- one of the exceptions listed in the Refund Policy.

When a workspace is deleted, its data is removed on the schedule in the Privacy Policy: recoverable for 180 days, then gone. Export what you want to keep before then.

Liability

The service is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we exclude implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a purpose, and non-infringement.

Our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to what you paid us in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or lost data, except where the law does not permit that limit.

Nothing here limits liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change materially reduces your rights we will give at least 30 days' notice in the product or by email, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept it. The date at the top is always the current version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Argentina, and disputes go to its courts. If you are a consumer, this does not take away rights you have under the law of the country you live in.

If any part of these terms is unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Questions: support@welcomeai.dev.
