# Buying through a link someone sent you > What the payment page asks for, why your email is typed twice, and what the access question means. Source: https://welcomeai.dev/docs/buying-through-a-link Category: Account Updated: 2026-09-06 --- If somebody -- an agency, a consultant, whoever set this up for you -- sent you a link like `app.welcomeai.dev/their-workspace/billing/c/6kk3eiuy7w82`, it opens a payment page for one plan. There is no sign-up form before it and no trial to start: the page is the first and only step. The price is the normal price. Whoever sent you the link earns a share of what WelcomeAI keeps, and that changes nothing about what you pay or what the plan includes. ## What it asks for **Your email, twice.** It becomes your account and the owner of the new workspace, and every invoice, sign-in link and alert goes to it. You type it twice because there is no account yet to correct a typo against -- get it wrong and the workspace lands somewhere you cannot reach. Use an address you will keep. A shared inbox like `billing@` works and survives people leaving. **A workspace name.** Changeable later. **The card.** Entered on Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record. They hold the card, produce the invoice and handle the tax. WelcomeAI never sees a card number. You do not pick a password. After paying we email a sign-in link; you can add a password or Google sign-in later in Profile. Your account and your workspace are created when the payment confirms, and not before. If you close the page halfway through, nothing was made. ## The access question Once on the payment page and once more after paying, you are asked: > Allow *the person who sent you the link* to access your Workspace and Account? Tick it and they are added to your new workspace as soon as you finish. That is usually what you want if they are the ones setting WelcomeAI up for you: they can do the work on day one instead of waiting for an invitation. **They can** upload documents, build and edit knowledge bases, install and theme widgets, connect integrations, and invite or remove people. **They cannot** see or change billing, change the plan, download your invoices, rename or delete the workspace, open your account settings and sign-in methods, or create an API key. Your account -- your name, your email, how you sign in -- is yours alone, whatever the checkbox says. This is a role of its own, not the ordinary admin role with a label on it. An admin in your workspace can read billing; this cannot. Everything they do is recorded in the audit log with their name on it. Leave it unticked and nobody outside your workspace gets in. They are told you kept it private, and you can invite them from the Team page whenever you like. The plan, the price and their share are the same either way. ## Changing your mind The question is asked twice, and the second answer is the one that counts -- so if you ticked it in a hurry on the payment form, you can untick it on the page that comes after. Later, open Team. Their row is marked *Referral access*, with a Revoke button. Revoking takes effect immediately and they are emailed. Nothing they made is removed -- documents, widgets and conversations stay in your workspace, because they were always yours. Granting again is a normal invitation from the same page. ## After paying The receipt and the sign-in link arrive by email. You land in your workspace, and the first thing to do is upload documents: WelcomeAI indexes them in about a minute and your assistant can answer from them. See Getting started.
